We're excited to announce a new website for The Yarmouth Splash Park! As the runner-up in the inaugural run of our Community Impact Program with over 100 votes, the proposed recreational facility received a zero-cost website to help them bring in more donations and expand their reach.
The Yarmouth Splash Park promises to be a place where the community can come together to play, splash, and make new friends. To make the Yarmouth Splash Park a reality, the committee has set out to fundraise $350,000. Thanks to a multitude of donors & sponsors, they're over 50% of the way there!
Our goal is to help fuel donations from the community with the features built into the new website, including an online shop, interactive event calendar and the ability to seamlessly donate online with a credit/debit card or Paypal account.
"A splash park would bring opportunities for unstructured, inclusive and accessible play to all members of our community. As a regional facility, it would bring everyone from the tri-counties to a safe, active, free and intergenerational gathering space. The Yarmouth Splash Park Committee is a volunteer community-based group with a vision of bringing a splash park facility to our area."
To fund the park, the committee is relying on community support from both individuals and businesses. Provincial and Federal grants in addition to municipal funding from The Town of Yarmouth, Municipality of Argyle and Municipality of Yarmouth will help the committee reach the required $350,000 threshold to make the park happen in the Summer of 2022.
